6.31 TN-A (HEN) porting to....?
I'll release HEN for 6.20. When Sony releases a new firmware (but I don't think so, because they don't care about the PSP anymore), I'll port it to 6.31 (idea by Flyer).
I am thinking about porting my HEN to 6.31. For that I need an exploit, myself, I found a VSH exploit, but wololo thinks: "This is a waste, better port it to Everybody's Golf and such golf games".
Advantage of VSH exploit:
- You don't need to buy any game
- It's faster to load than starting a game
Disadvantage of VSH exploit:
- One more exploit lost
Advantage of golf exploit:
- Sony already know this exploit, so it's not a waste
Disadvantage of golf exploit:
- Sony can patch/remove the game easily
So, if I port my HEN to the golf exploit, Sony will patch/remove the game and then I have to release my VSH Exploit. Other hackers, do you have an other idea?

Please port, I just got my PSP go 2 days ago 'cuz of this sploit, but when I got it, it is running 6.31, but I purchased Everybody's Golf and HBL runs fine.

And also, most the people commenting here know nothing and only interested in an ISO loader.
For those of you keeping your PSP on the closet just cause it can;t play .ISO, PSN account can be used on up to 5 activated PSP, so just buy 1 game and used it with 5 people, very easy. at least that's what I do, and I have alot of games to play already (more than what your hand and feet can count).
You can buy PSN games, borrow it to your friend, and you can even sell it if you're bored with it. If you do a buy and sell, each game only cost no more than 1 US@ to play. BUy it, play for a month or two, then sell it again.
hi i think you should only make one for 6.31, cause, 6.20 already has a free exploit and i dont get why anyone want another one, the game is patched but if they updated they shouldnt want one for 6.20 but for 6.31, i have 6.31 and also the HBL 101, but im not satisfied cause it is VERY unstable, most homebrew doesnt run, so can you please make a new exploit for 6.31 :)

Total_noob I think Sony reads things like this... And they know if they release a new update that you will release 6.31 TN-A..... Sooo i don't think sony will release anything until you release something because they want to patch your kernel exploit.

That firmware was never going to be properly hacked. So I updated, since most recent works were on 6.20 (HBL at that time, TN HEN now).

Playing legal games is a choice. When you buy a game console chatever it is, you also consider about the game price and how many of your friend is using it (so you can trade games and play together). If not, then you're stupid!!!
And about people that do not have enough money to eat... what the hell are they doing with a PSP, better to sell it and go to macdonalds, LOL.

People buy game console becasuse they do have money to spare. And if you buy a game by sharing, new games like GOW:GOS cost you no more than 10 US$, which I consider very cheap. Dont forget the hard labour of the people involved in making the game, don't you think they have to eat too? or would you rather have a piracy domination and the game developers to just die of bankruptcy one by one.

ReplyDelete6.20 can upgrade to 6.31, but 6.31 cannot downgrade to 6.20. Releasing it on 6.31 makes is feasible for people from both the groups use it.
VSH Exploit has greater ability to survive than the game exploit as it won't have dependency other than the firmware...

sony will not block online download or UMD.Dont they want profit also? ReplyDeleteWhen I first heard he was making a 6.31 HEN I was pretty ticked off because I didn't want to spend my money on a game I would never play. But when I heard it would be a VHS exploit I was amazed. All of you who are saying that they will patch the exploit.. Does that mean you have to update? I mean, look at the ChickHen. It's on 5.03 and people still use it to a full extent.

ReplyDeleteI would think that sony is not run by a bunch of idiots and that they read blogs and go to websites for information on how to make things more secure and that you should release just the HEN for 6.31 in the vsh exploit because this is the latest ofw and that the vsh exploit could be patched in further firmwares and that it is not that big of a deal for some people to update and Not waste money on a game that could be patched.
Just giving my opinion on this matter.
And whatever you decide Total_Noob is probably best for you even though some people may not like it so Good luck and hope for the best.

ReplyDeleteI dont think it will lead to donwgrade a psp 3000 remember pandora batery will no longer work on 3000its been a long time I stuck on 6.20FW and nobody try to release a donwgrader or CFW and also team gen lost interest in devloping cfw due to piracy and TN is one of them,
@joey I'm with u man most people have the latest OFW 6.31 and have new psp come with it , it'll be great to release it on 6.31 and use The VSH exploit instead of buying the game that u only use it once to load a hack game save (I think the game ain't available in psn store not sure or u can use it anymore)

You can use the Hot Shot Golf Exploit, yes you have yo buy for that, but you can go to the EU Store, the game cost only 8€ ( + - 10 $ ) and it's nothing for a HEN !
But you can also use your new exploit and give an advert for people who would do the future upgrade for the 6.32. (Sorry for my bad English)

ReplyDeleteI personally would like to see it for 6.31 cause thats what the psp I have is on. But I understand the need to release it for 6.20 first and then 6.31 either way. It would be nice to get a loader that didn't need the use of the golf game.

Even so I personally can wait cause I have a phat that is gonna be fixed in a couple of days just as soon as amazon pulls their finger out of their ass and sends me my screen for my phat.

I have a question. I have a PSP Go. The post says that HEN 6.20 will be released and that a 6.31 version may come out if Sony releases a new firmware. If they dont, will we ever see a HEN on 6.31? I recently bought a Go and thats the version Im currently stuck on. Please release the 6.31 version. If Sony doesnt care about the PSP like the post says then it doesnt matter anyway.

Reading the other blog post's comments was absolutely painful. There are so many users who were making up bullshit and trying to pass it off to Total_Noob so that they can play their iso's sooner. I read his messages and I could understand all of it, and I think it was all of these non-english speaking users that misunderstood. It's just angering when something makes them that emotionally affected when they can't have a convienience right away. I'm really looking forward to this so I can run some of the homebrew apps that HBL can't play. Thanks a lot Total_Noob and keep up the good work!

- theres other exploits after the psp is hacked, like the SenseMe channel hack.
- (not sure) the internet time hack [where you can automatically change the time from internet, instead you change it to download automatically to a new custom firmware update]
- people wont be stupid enough to update there psp, and if they did its tough luck, they might have to find another exploit. (i'm one of them)
-there will be ways to go to psn other than updating it
-i see no harm giving the hack to all open exploits.
We hope you could release the 6.20TN firstly, when the Sony publish the new firmwave, then you release the 6.31TN with VSH

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I wouldn't matter to a lot of us if 6.31 is ported in either VSH or a golf game exploit. Assuming you're on 6.31 like myself and so many others, a VSH exploit would be useless since you would require HBL(VSH is a hombrew/cfw thing, right?). A golf game exploit for people on 6.31 would work. Either way be it a VSH exploit or a game exploit, for people on 6.31 we would still need a golf game. At the end of the day, waiting on Sony is futile like so many people already stated but if its really what you want, take your time so long as 6.31 is released. From what I understand, the golf games haven't been patched right(both umd and psn downloads)? I'll be grabbing one myself soon.

i think whenever TN drops the HEN, even if it's 6.31HEN I think if it's VSH, that it will be compatible for 620-631 since being possible on 6.31 with SONY patches.. then it should be reverse compatible with 6.30, and 6.20.. i think anyhow.. I'm behind on programming.. but thinking logically.. the things patched in 30-31 won't be there in 20 which will probably leave the ability to use the HEN reverse compatible. I've also been thinking if the HEN uses a Kernel EXPLOIT maybe Dec Hook update or possible CFW in the future.. if dev-hook could be updated and useful I would be estatic.. I had to sell my psp 1000 and ended up getting a pspGO as a gift.. still can't figure out how to insert my old UMD's and thats pissing me off lol... That's why I'm anxious to see a kernel mode hit the community I would more devote myself to coding and the psp more so.. some of my titles aren't on PSN... and alot of the newer games I don't like... I feel let down by sony and since i have the hardware might as well make use of it!!!!!!

It's to give us options. What about the possibilities of future exploits that could be found in 6.20 and this exploit you found like someone figuring out someway to downgrade to get real custom firmware.
Or a bug or anything that might go wrong. You can always upgrade, but you can NEVER downgrade.
Please for the sake of all the people who waited patiently and didn't upgrade at least upload the work you have for 6.20, there is no harm in it at all...

ReplyDeleteTN is porting HEN to 6.35 via a VHS exploit. In other words you wont need a game or demo of any kind. However like wololo and others have suggested, don't update until he releases HEN as the 6.35 port may be delayed.
